This policy explains what information franklynljames.com collects, why, and how it is handled. If you have a question this page does not answer, contact me directly at contact@franklynljames.com.
Information you provide directly
When you use the contact form, I collect your first name, last name, email address, reason for inquiry, and your message, along with an event date, event location, or subject line if you choose to provide them. I use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
When you subscribe to email updates, I collect your email address. I use it to send new reflections, publication news, and occasional updates from Franklyn James. I do not sell, rent, or trade your email address, and I do not share it with anyone outside of the email service used to send these updates.
Submissions made through either form are stored in the site’s database so I can review and respond to them, and a copy of each contact-form submission is sent by email to my inbox. I do not set a fixed retention period; you may ask at any time to have your submission or subscription removed.
Comments
If comments are open on a Reflections post and you leave one, the comment and its metadata, including your name, email address, and the time it was posted, are retained so the comment can be recognized and approved automatically on any follow-up comments, rather than being held for moderation.
Cookies
This site does not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. It uses only the cookies WordPress itself sets: cookies that keep the site’s own administrator signed in, and, if comments are open and you leave one, an optional cookie that can remember your name, email address, and website in your browser so you do not have to re-enter them next time.
Server logs
As with most websites, this site’s hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and site performance purposes.
Links to other sites and services
This site links out to third-party platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, WhatsApp, and Amazon. Once you follow one of those links, you are subject to that platform’s own privacy policy, not this one.
Your rights
You may ask, at any time, what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or unsubscribe from email updates using the link in any update you receive. Email contact@franklynljames.com to make any of these requests.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
